My goal is to capture every subject -- whether it's an adult getting headshots, a child getting birthday pictures or a family gathered for a portrait -- in their element to showcase their personality.

I Heart Billy's eyes
I decided to try something new this week and play in a photo contest at I Heart Faces. This week's theme is pets, and though I have a trazillion and one photos of my three cats, I pointed the camera at Billy yet again. I love his eyes so much! I could shoot him every day. (Hmm, is that a good idea for a Project 365? Probably not.)
And this is a good reminder to not forget your non-people family when booking a shoot. Later this week, I'll show you some of my favorite pet photos from some recent sessions. Keep an eye out!

Fun in the fall
A couple of weeks ago, I got to take advantage of the last of the fall color during a session with my friends the Macombers. We had fun tromping through the remaining leaves around Lake Elkhorn -- especially little N.
Perfect fall leaves
A few weeks back, I had a repeat session with one of my first families ever, after a two-year break. They had the fantastic idea of hitting the dam end of Centennial Park at dusk, and we were rewarded with amazing fall colors and beautiful light.
A family of six and the dog all looking at the camera? Score!
Aren't they sweet? I was so glad to have another chance to capture this lovely family!
