I'm Sarah Kelber, a photographer in the Howard County, Maryland, area.
Tired of those boring Portrait-O-Matic photos of your kids? Or scheduling a portrait session, but your child is in a bad mood and uncomfortable, and it shows?

My goal is to capture every subject -- whether it's an adult getting headshots, a child getting birthday pictures or a family gathered for a portrait -- in their element to showcase their personality.

Portraits with J

A few months ago, I got an email from my friend Belle introducing me to her friend J, who was interested in getting her portrait done for the first time since her senior pictures in high school. We were on the verge of scheduling an appointment when I had a medical emergency that sidelined me for a couple of months. But on Monday, we finally managed to make our schedules work together.

It was hot as Hades outside, but after some headshots in front of the backdrop, we braved the heat for some outdoor shots as well.

It was so great to meet J -- especially as it turns out we have several mutual friends! We had a great time, and I hope she's as pleased with the outcome as I am!
